RESOURCES
All year round we plan new projects onsite to assist residents to develop skills in various areas. The purpose of this is to assist residents to stay active physically and mentally whilst waiting to access the labour market. Depending on individuals interest and needs we tailor this onsite skills training so that residents fill that they are contributing to the centre and its residents whilst picking up full skills that may lead to employment. Please contact Paul to discuss
There are hundreds of books available for free to all our residents in our library area in the lounge. Feel free to grab a book at any time. There are many kids books too and we encourage you to give the gift of reading to kids of all ages. There are many board games for both adults and kids in the library. Please keep these tidy at all times.
There are several areas on site for you to grow your own food. We run spring courses to help you. If you require any assistance please contact Paul. There are also ‘patch to plate’ culinary courses run throughout the year, contact Paul if you are interested in attending these courses.
There are many more plans in the making for post Covid including cookery classes, learn to drive, restaurant nights, entertainment nights, fishing training, tailoring, health and fitness evenings, cinema night and many many more courses and social integration programmes. Please keep an eye out for these events post covid on our residents broadcast.
Please feel free to speak with us at any time if you have any suggestions or ideas that can add to the positive and continuous improvements of life at the RHAC.
